The Seward Highway is nearby, providing travelers with quick access to points south including the Portage Glacier, the world famous Kenai Peninsula and the bird nesting areas along Potter Marsh. Hikers are only a short drive from the wilderness of Chugach State Park and shoppers have easy access to the largest shopping center in Alaska.
