I've worked at the Anchorage Daily News for over 14 years, seven of those were as an infographics artist. An infographics artist creates maps, charts and graphics to simplfy and explain where, why or how an event took place. In 1991 I decided to start doing freelance work on the side in hopes that I could fill what little free time I had with MORE work, and to help support my softball habit ... so began Powell Design.

This site is meant to give visitors an impression of what I do as a graphic artist and in my freetime. My interests range from darts to softball, from screenprinting to web page design. Feel free to look around and don't be shy. If you have questions please drop me a note.
